Notice from City Secretary
12/15/2025
Dear Hardin Residents,
We are aware that many residents are not receiving their paper bills. Billing is done at the end of the month and the bills are all taken to the post office at that time to be mailed. Once we turn them over to the post office, we have no control over what happens to them.
THIS IS A UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE ISSUE
You may call the USPS at 1-800-275-8777 to file a complaint. I have spoken with the Postmaster at the Liberty post office. The problem is the North Houston TX Distribution Center sorting facility located at 4600 Aldine Bender Rd #224, North Houston, TX 77315. If you choose to file a complaint, please give them this information.
You can speak with Tami at City Hall and have your bill switched to paperless and receive it by email. There is also a texting option, where you receive a text message that gives you the amount and due date. You can pay it via text with a stored payment on file. Again, this is not a Hardin Sewer Billing issue, but a USPS issue. We understand your frustration, but please be respectful of City Hall staff.
City Secretary
